With much regret I must inform those who visit this site that the breeding did not take.  But with heavy heart I must explain that things went from bad to worse on Friday evening (Dec. 28th).
Friday evening Jet came into distress and Saturday morning our vet informed us as we watched the ultrasound screen that the breeding didn't take, and then he confirmed our worst nightmare, Jet had pyometra.  We discussed treatment options and the long nightmare   a dog suffers thru, along with other considerations.  After much soul searching we agreed that we would honor the pledge we made to ourselves years ago that if it came down to choosing between puppies and the dam's health, we would always opt to put the dam's health and safety first.  Thus, Monday morning Jet was spayed and is at home recooperating.  After the surgery our vet called me and informed me that it was a good thing we spayed her as in his opinion she was just days away from a rupture which would have meant certain death.

To those who have wished us well we thank you!!!  Now I'm currently in the puppy search myself.  I have been frustrated for the last several days as I search for exactly what I want.  I have seen may breedings that were close but just wasn't quite what I was looking for.  After talking to a number of breeders I was refered to one that, much to my very pleasant surprise , had EXACTLY what I was looking for!!!!!!!  I couldn't believe my eyes!!!  Now I am on their waiting list but due to the unusually small litter size and other variables involved, I have to wait until they are whelped to find out if we will be introducing a new set of paw prints to our kennel.  In the mean time I'm impatiently and excitedly keeping my fingers, toes, arms, and legs crossed in anticipation!!!

I have been approached by others requesting that some of the information I have posted here be kept up so they could see/link to it.  In the near future I plan to rearrange the Planned Litters page into more of an "individual dog's information page", links, and so on.

BOSS:
Boss made the National Derby list with 22 points. He has qualified for 4 Nationals (open and amateur). Boss is also currently the #5 all time top producer of UKC titled dogs. He has been blessed with great health and had his health clearances updated recently. His HIPS were OFA Excellent at 10 years of age, ELBOWS were Normal at 11 years, EYES were CERFed Clear at 11 years old, and he is on the CNM White List (clear of the gene). 

JET:
Jet is 65 pounds of speed and desire. She is tractable, stylish, and loves to please.  On land she throws rooster tails of sod all the way to the bird and in water she throws an impressive wake. In the field she is a joy to work with and absolutely loves what she’s doing. Despite all the speed and desire, she has the ability to turn it on and off like a switch. Even with all her desire she has always been a wonderful partner in the blind. She is very still and quiet but always alert. Incoming birds rarely escape her ever watchful eyes. Many times she’s had the ducks pinpointed before we knew they were coming.

Jet was raised in the house until she was about a year old and then she went outside in her kennel. This allowed us to develop a wonderful bond as well as learn what being a companion was all about. She took quickly to create training/house breaking and has never done her business in the kennel.
